On 25 July 2026 the BoB Bitcoin Rate Index stood at 8.62% APR. Every rate we recorded that day is below, custodial and on-chain together, cheapest first.
The BoB Bitcoin Rate Index blends the two indices below at 70% CeFi / 30% DeFi: the CeFi index (average effective APR for a $100,000 loan at 50% LTV) and the DeFi index (TVL-weighted average USDC borrow APR). The weighting is our editorial judgement, not a measured market share, because CeFi origination volume is not public. Both components are published above so the blend can be checked, or re-weighted, by anyone.

6 custodial lenders and 9 on-chain protocols, lowest first. Custodial rates are the effective APR for a $100,000 loan at 50% LTV; on-chain rates are variable.
